How do I market my business?

marketing May 07, 2024

Marketing your business can be an exciting yet challenging endeavor, especially in today's saturated market.

Now more than ever, it’s important to have a marketing strategy, not to just post for the sake of posting which is one of the biggest mistakes business owners make. Your marketing is an ecosystem and when done right, it can have dream clients and customers finding you, binging you, and then buying from you in just 2 posts or less than 24 hours.

One of the fundamental pieces business owners miss when marketing their business is not speaking to the two types of motivation that people have in order to buy and understanding buyer types. This is where the strategy comes into play. It’s about speaking to BOTH types of motivation through marketing that moves.

If you’re looking for a custom marketing strategy specific to your business, send me a DM on Instagram @coaching.by.natalie or an email to [email protected].

Here are some strategies to help you get started with marketing your business:

  1. Understand your audience: Who are your existing and potential customers? What are their needs, aspirations, and pain points? Understanding your audience is the first step towards creating a successful marketing plan.
  2. Define your brand: What is unique about your business? How can you differentiate yourself from competitors? Your brand is your business's identity, and it should resonate with your target audience.
  3. Create a marketing plan: Your marketing plan should outline your marketing goals, the strategies you'll use to achieve them, and the metrics you'll use to measure your success.
  4. Utilize social media: Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn are excellent tools for connecting with your audience, promoting your products or services, and building your brand. Don’t try all of them, really focus on the platforms where your audience is spending the most time!
  5. Content marketing: Create and share valuable, relevant content that resonates with your audience. This could be blog posts, videos, podcasts, or infographics.
  6. Email marketing: Despite the rise of social media, email remains an effective marketing channel. Use email to nurture relationships with your customers, share company news, and promote your offerings.
  7. SEO: Optimize your website for search engines to increase your visibility and attract more visitors.
  8. Paid advertising: Consider using paid advertising (like Google Adwords or social media ads) to reach a wider audience.
  9. Analytics: Regularly review and analyze your marketing efforts to understand what's working and what isn't. This is a huge piece people miss! I dive into the socials data you need to be assessing here.

Remember, marketing is an ongoing process that requires patience and persistence. It's all about testing, learning, and improving over time.

There are marketing strategies that you can use and that I teach inside my private mentorship that can be applied to social media, content marketing, email marketing, and more. These are strategies that turns lurkers into buyers and gets them to go from “who’s this?” to “I NEED THIS!!!” and buy.

ONE MORE QUICK NOTE: Before you go to market your business, you need to nail a fundamental piece, which is owning yourself and your business and separating yourself from competitors. I dive into how you can separate your business in my FREE Masterclass “Overlooked to Overbooked - 3 Step Framework to a Profitable Business”. THIS IS A MUST BEFORE YOU GO TO MARKET, otherwise your business, your content, and all your marketing efforts will be wasted energy and you’ll see little to no traction come from your efforts.
